AB De Villiers Reveals How Virat Kohli’s Life Changed After Meeting Anushka

Indian Captain Virat Kohli Used To Be Obsessed With Cricket Before Meeting Anushka Sharma: AB de Villiers:

Virat Kohli had a freewheeling chat on Instagram live Friday with his good friend and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) teammate AB de Villiers. Owing to coronavirus to their memories from playing at RCB over the years, the pair explored a number of themes from life under lockdown. De Villiers also revealed how Kohli’s life changed when he met his wife Anushka Sharma.

De Villiers recalled how the RCB skipper used to be fascinated with cricket when talking to Kohli and it was difficult to keep him away from the pitch until he met Anushka, who brought some balance. In December 2017, Kohli married Bollywood star Anushka after dating her for a period. Since then Anushka has been seen accompanying Kohli with Team India on many tours.

“We were all so glad you met Anushka. We hit about a trillion balls in the net the one season before you guys met. Now at least someone will keep him away from cricket for a change, “De Villiers said during his talk with Kohli.
“You’ve always had me prove on a long cover as you want to practice playing some balls and I’ve been like this guy would never stop. Then Anushka came in-and there’s a little balance now-there’s a bit of patience, we’re talking, we’re having lunch at restaurants-we’re still hitting a lot of cricket balls, but there’s a balance right now, “he added.

In response to De Villiers, Kohli maintained that he remains passionate about cricket as he used to be, but that he has learned how to balance his professional and personal life.

“You begin to believe this is just not about being fascinated with one thing in life. Being passionate is good thing, but love must be the most important thing in life, and anything else will follow, “Kohli told De Villiers. “Everything’s got to work in balance. I am thankful that I found her, that she found me. It was expected to be,’ he said.

If coronavirus pandemic would not have caused IPL to be postponed indefinitely, both Kohli and De Villiers would have been playing for RCB. The duo revealed that, in the 2016 season, they would auction their RCB jerseys and bats from their game against Gujarat Lions to raise funds to combat the pandemic.
