In the 38th match of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League, Shikhar Dhawan has created history by slamming a century off 57 deliveries and became the 1st player in the IPL history to hit continuous centuries in the league. In this innings, Delhi Capitals scored 164 runs with the loss of 5 wickets against Kings XI Punjab.
Let’s dig into the second innings:
Axar Patel was able to get the massive wicket of KXIP captain KL Rahul (15) as he tricked the skipper with a slower one and KL Rahul went in the 2nd over only too early and gave a comfortable catch to Daniel Sams.
For 26 runs, KXIP lucky charm Chris Gayle hit Tushar Deshpande in an over but Ashwin bowled him. In 13 deliveries, Gayle scored 29 runs. In the same over, Mayank Agarwal (5) was run out and Delhi Capitals bounced back.
Nicholas Pooran smashed his fifty off only 27 deliveries but Rabada was able to get him in the very next ball. Pooran back to pavilion in the 12th over after scoring 53 runs.
In the 15th over, Rabada to Maxwell, out caught by Rishabh Pant!! Pant took an amazing catch and Maxwell out by scoring 32 runs off 24.
Deepak Hooda and James Neesham continued and a big win for Kings XI Punjab in just 19 over.
