WPL 2024 Schedule

There is good news for all cricket lovers in India, as the second edition of the Women’s Premier League 2024 will begin on February 23, 2024. 

The WPL 2024 will consist of 22 matches, beginning on February 23 and concluding on March 17. All matches of the Women’s Premier League 2024 will be played at 2 venues, M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru and Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.  

The first edition of the WPL in 2023 was played in Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, and DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The officials, however, changed the venues this time around and now the Women’s League will be hosted by Bengaluru and Delhi.  

Harmanpreet Kaur’s Mumbai Indians won the first edition of the WPL last year after defeating Meg Lanning’s Delhi in the finals. 

How many teams are participating in Women’s Premier League 2024? 

Five teams, including Mumbai Indians (MI), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Gujarat Giants (GG), UP Warriorz (UPW), Delhi Capitals (DC) will compete in the 2023 Women’s Premier League 2024 

What is the format of Women’s Premier League 2024?  

The five teams will compete in a round-robin format for 20 matches.  

The top three teams in the rankings will then advance to the next stage, which will feature Eliminator, and the Women’s Premier League 2024 final on March 17. 

Similar to WPL’s first edition’s structure, the top team after the league stage will directly qualify for the finals, while the second and third placed teams will compete in the Eliminator.
