India Women will play Australia Women in the opening semi-final of the Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa on Thursday, February 23. The semi-final lineup is determined. Australia won Group A, and India came in second place in Group B, trailing only England Women. The fourth semifinalist is the host nation, South Africa, which placed second in Group A.

India and Australia faced off in the T20 World Cup final in 2020, with Australia winning by 85 runs in front of a record-breaking crowd at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Australia also triumphed against the Harman Preet Kaur-led team to win the Commonwealth Games gold medal.
