Bharat described Kohli as a “friendly captain” and added that clinching the IPL trophy for RCB will be the cherry on the cake and the finest present for the leaving captain. It is commonly known that Kohli has opted to step down as the team’s captain beginning with the upcoming edition of the IPL. Though he could continue to stick with the team, he will no longer serve as captain.

“Yes, definitely winning the cup and giving Virat Bhai the IPL title will be cherry on the cake, but if you ask me, playing with Virat Bhai is a very big feeling,” said Bharat.

Bharat went on to say that his IPL captain Kohli, supports young players and works just as hard as any other new player. He is constantly there to help his teammates, and he considers himself fortunate to be in his presence. RCB will face an eliminator versus KKR, and if they win, they will face the loser of the match involving DC and CSK.

“Virat loves youngsters, he encourages youngsters. He works incredibly hard like any other young player in RCB. He is a thorough professional and playing with him gives an element of confidence to us. He is a very friendly guy, he is always there, he is always ready to guide us. I am blessed to be around him,” he added.

Kohli and his guys will be looking to win their first IPL title this year, as RCB is one of the 3 teams that have not to win an IPL trophy.
