Two Australian Openers Were Caught Playing Hand Game

On Friday, Australian openers David Warner and Joe Burns were caught playing a hand game of rock paper scissors before going out to bat in the middle on the first day of the second Test against Pakistan. Cricket.com.au has posted a video on Twitter which shows David Warner and Joe Burns playing the game while waiting for the match to start after rain. Australia won the toss and chose to bat first in the final Test in a Day-Night Test match against Pakistan at the Adelaide Oval. After the Anthems, a light rainfall appeared and caused a bit of delay in the start of the match. This was the time when Joe Burns and David Warner were caught playing the hand game.

The Australian cricket team is playing under the captaincy of Tim Paine and Pakistan is being led by Azhar Ali. Australia defeated visitors by an innings and 5 runs in Brisbane and leads the two-Test series 1-0.

“The wicket looks really good. There might be a bit of rain around and it will be interesting to see how the pink ball handles it with the wet outfield,” Australia skipper Tim Paine said at the toss.

On the other hand, Pakistan has recalled pacer Mohammad Abbas in place of Imran Khan. Naseem Shah, the 16-year-old pacer, made way for 19-year-old fast bowler Muhammad Musa and batsman Haris Sohail was replaced by Imam-ul-Haq who will open the innings alongside Shan Masood.

“I would have bowled first considering the conditions. The wicket looks good but with the rain around, we thought we should bowl first,” Pakistan skipper Azhar Ali said at the toss.

Australia has won all five Day-Night Test matches that they have played so far. Three of those games were played in Adelaide.
