Tim David might get a chance to play T20 World Cup for Australia

After playing some sensational knocks in the Indian Premier League 2022, the demand to include him in the Australian men’s T20 team is very high. Here in this article, we talk about Will Tim David get a chance to play T20 World Cup for Australia.

Many big players already stated their reasons on why they feel Tim David should be in the T20 World Cup 2022 squad of Australia, while the latest to join them is none other than the former Australian spin master Brad Hogg.

The stylish bowler believes Tim David should be a sure starter in the reigning champions’ playing XI for the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia.

The 26-year-old has shown his ability in T20 leagues around the world, as well as for Singapore in international cricket. He had played some quick-fire knocks in the IPL 2022 and left a significant impact season with the bat. Despite this, he was left out of Australia’s T20I squad for the series against Sri Lanka.

Brad Hogg also talked about Cricket Australia’s odd rule that keeps David out of the T20I team. He said, “The other issue, Australia have a rule that if you’re not contracted with a first-class state team to represent Australia in T20Is. He doesn’t have that contract. Australia has got to change that rule. You can’t have a rule as stupid as that, keeping a player like him out.”

Apart from his playing T20 for Australia concerns Brad Hogg also feels that Tim David is currently the best no.6 player in the world.

“You bring Smith up from the lower order and open the batting with him. Stoinis comes up at No.5 and Tim David comes in at No.6. Tim David, for me around the globe, is the best No.6 that you can have. He is the only player that consistently comes in in the final four overs and finds the boundary straightaway. It is a unique talent to have and Australia has got to utilize it.”
