Sri Lanka cricketer Danushka Gunathilaka almost choked the woman during an alleged rape attempt. According to media reports that quoted police documents. The Woman alleged that she was sexually assaulted four times in her home in Sydney’s Rose Bay. On November 2nd after going on a date with the Sri Lankan cricketer.

“The complainant was fearing for her life and could not get away from the accused. She continually tried to pull away from the accused, a clear indication that she was not consenting.”

The case’s next hearing is schedules for January 12. Gunathilaka facing suspension from all forms of the game by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC). Also, strongly condemns the event.

The Sri Lanka Cricket Committee

The SLC is ashamed of this incident. Also bans the cricketer from all the formats. This cricketer is not away from the controversies. As he represented SLC for 47 ODIs and 46 T20Is.
