Salman Khan’s Family Buys Kandy-Based Franchise In Lankan Premier League

The Investment Has Been Made By Sohail Khan, His Younger Brother, And Father Salim Khan:

According to a report in a leading print media house, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan ‘s family has bought the Kandy Tuskers franchise in the Lankan Premier League (LPL). Sohail Khan, his younger brother, and father, Salim Khan, who are part of the consortium, made the investment.

During the last few days, the player draught for the competition took place as the contest is scheduled to begin on November 21. Sohail Khan confirmed the investment and said that, in general, the league has a great deal of promise.

Lankan Premier League Has A Lot Of Potential: Sohail Khan:

“We see a lot of promise, given the players in our squad, the league in general, and the enthusiasm of the fans, which are second to none,” Sohail Khan told a leading print media house.

From November 21 to December 13, 2020, the Lankan Premier League (LPL) 2020 is scheduled to launch. According to an official media release, all the 23 matches in the tournament will be held at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy and the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota.

As of now, each of the franchise leagues in India, Australia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, the West Indies and South Africa have their own versions.
