RR vs LSG Match Highlights: Match no 4 of the IPL 2024 was nothing short of a thriller, where the game had its share of ups and downs. KL Rahul who was leading the LSG team was also making his much-awaited comeback to playing cricket. After missing out half of the England test series the LSG skipper made a dream comeback with his brilliant knock.
Up until now, it was always the home side who won the match after winning the toss and the same happened tonight here at Jaipur as Rajasthan Royals cruised to victory. The Royals won this exciting game by 20 runs and thus registered their first victory of this IPL season.
After winning the toss, the home side decided to bat first look at the pitch conditions. RR however known for their firepower failed to get a good start as they lost a couple of quick wickets. But it was the RR skipper who held the rope along with Riyan Parag who did not last long but made his impact with 43 runs of 29 balls.
Mainly it was Captain Show for Rajasthan as the skipper Sanju Samson scored 82* off 52 balls, which included 6 massive sixes and three boundaries. Samson finished his knock with a massive average of 157.69. His knock was crucial for RR to set a decent total to defend on.
Lucknow Bowlers had their Share of Ups and Down
It was not a great day for Lucknow bowlers as they failed to stop the Rajasthan skipper. However, Naveen-ul-Haq was the highest wicket-taker for Lucknow as he picked up two wickets and conceded 41 runs. While Ravi Bishnoi and Mohsin Khan both picked up one wicket each.
Even though Lucknow where unable to pick up regular wickets they made sure that the pressure was on and did not give any easy runs for Rajasthan. This made sure that Rajasthan did not finish on a high note. However, Rajasthan had scored 193/4 in 20 overs.
Lucknow Super Giants on the Chase: Rajasthan Give Their Best
It was a dream start for Rajasthan as their star man Trent Boult picked two wickets in his first two overs and dismantled the top order.
At one stage Lucknow was at 11/3 at 3.1 overs. But then it was their skipper KL Rahul who carried the Lucknow team to a respectable position.
KL Rahul was looking good and as time passed they had control of the game but in came Sandeep Sharma who gave the much-needed breakthrough for RR as KL Rahul’s dreams were cut short to 58 runs from 44 balls. This knock however gave Lucknow the hope to stay in the game until the end.

Finial Crucial Moments in the Game
Nicholas Pooran played one of the best innings as he did not give up even for a single minute. Even though wickets were falling at one end it was Nicholas Pooran who was calm and composed and made sure that the game was dragged until the very end. Pooran finished his innings on 64* of 41 balls.
It was a tough ask for Pooran in the end as the Rajasthan Royals bowlers did not give any room to hit boundaries at the depth of the innings. This was a wonderful game of cricket played by both teams and we are sure that Lucknow will bounce back from this loss and Rajasthan will look to build from here.
