Shreyas Ruled Out of Sri Lanka Series

Indian Batsman Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out from the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka. He has also missed IPL 2021 due to a shoulder injury – in his absence, Pant took the captaincy responsibilities of Delhi Capitals. Shreyas has undergone shoulder surgery on April 8th, 2021 and it is expected that it will take at least 3 months for him to recover from it. BCCI medical team is now constantly monitoring his recovery and it seems like they are now targeting to keep Shreyas Iyer injury-free for the all-important T20 World Cup scheduled later this year in October.
