Ben Lister becomes first COVID-19 substitute

Ben Lister, a medium-pacer of Auckland became the 1st COVID-19 substitute in cricket on Tuesday. In the ongoing Plunket Shield first-class cricket championship, he is taking place of his teammate Mark Chapman, who has played for New Zealand in 24 T20Is and 6 ODI, felt sick on Monday (19-10-2020) after which he underwent a test for COVID-19. Lister played in 18 first-class matches was playing as the replacement until the test results of Chapman are known.
