PCB Decline Comment On Grant Flower’s Charge Against Younis Khan

PCB refused to comment on Grant Flower’s claim:

The national team of England, as well as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), have denied giving any comment on the claim of former batting coach Grant Flower that former Pakistan captain Younis Khan held a knife once to his neck on getting some useless advice.

During a cricket podcast, Flower told this serious allegation. In this podcast, he explained his near about five-years experience with the national side between 2014 and 2019. Now Younis Khan is the batting coach of the national team Pakistan.

Any kind of official response was not coming from the Pakistan Cricket Board but a source of the board told PTI that incident happened in Brisbane in the 2016 tour of Australia. But it was not a case of any kind of serious threat as explained by Flower but it was just a friendly chat on the breakfast table.

According to Source:

“But the way Grant Flower has explained the situation is not true. Younis Khan had just jokingly taken up the butter knife and waved it around. He only wanted to tell Grant to let him do his breakfast and don’t give advice at the breakfast table,” The source said.

Also, the source added that Younis Khan is not liking to give any reply to Grant’s claim of what had happened at that time. By remembering that incident, Flower said that head coach Mickey Arthur interfered in this incident and claim Younis Khan at that time.

The source of Pakistan Cricket Board said that it was very much disheartening to see former coaches, as well as support staff, have involved with us, with the team of Pakistan. But they don’t hesitate to reveal the secret information in public once their work complete. And also they add salt and pepper to the happenings to acquire attention.”

For the England tour,  the former captain Younis Khan said yes to be the batting coach of the national Pakistan team last month.  In Test format, he is the highest scorer and he is also the only player to make more than 10,000 runs in this format.
