Kashyap Prajapati’s first ODI century crushes the USA

Oman vs USA match highlights:

Oman played the Tri-nation series with the USA yesterday at Moosa stadium. Oman beat the USA by 13 runs thanks to Kashyap Prajapati’s commanding century. He was also named as the man of the match. Oman reached a tough total of 281 thanks to a century-run opening partnership between Jatinder Singh (67 off 88) and Prajapati (103 off 115) as well as contributions from Shoaib Khan and Zeeshan Maqsood. They played in the lower order.

Steven Taylor (79 of 80) and Aaron Jones (97 of 112) threatened to overtake Oman briefly. But Maqsood’s late strokes ensured the United States lost steam towards the end.

Oman got off to a good start, winning the toss and electing to bat on a calm surface. With the exception of a reprieve at the fine leg boundary for Jatinder off Saurabh Netravalkar, Jatinder and Prajapati put up a half-century partnership in the 11th over without breaking a sweat.

With two brilliant boundaries over the off-side off Cameron Stevenson in the second over of the innings, Prajapati was let off the hook. Jatinder, on the other hand, jumped right in by muscling a variety of barriers through the leg side.

As he got hooked into teenage leg spinner Yasir Mohammad, the introduction of spin gave Jatinder more wings. As the young player continued to deviate from his line, he pummelling Yasir for three boundaries through his favourite legside.

Because Nosthush Kenjige was introduced, Jatinder’s wrath was short-lived. Kenjige snuffed out the runs and had Jatinder mistake a hoick, which was promptly snagged by Jones, who was sprinting backwards at point.

Prajapati, on the other hand, appeared determined to anchor the innings, reaching his half-century off a smash towards the sight screen off Kenjige.

Kashyap Harishbhai Prajapati has scored 623 runs in the 21 One Day International matches that he has played. He has bagged 194 total runs in the T20 matches that he has batted in.
