Mohammed Shami Heaps Praise On Rishabh Pant

The coronavirus crisis has led to the suspension of cricket matches. There is no guarantee that regular cricket will ever be played. In this situation, the cricketers are at home as the country goes through the lockdown. Many cricketers are enjoying their time at home, as they often do not get a break like this.

In the meantime, many cricketers are interacting with their fans through social media. Other well-known players have seen hosting live Instagram sessions with fellow cricketers. We have seen famous players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Yuvraj Singh are taking part in the Instagram session.

Mohammed Shami backs Rishabh Pant for a bright future.

Recently, current team India pacer Mohammed Shami and former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan hosted a chat session where they talked about how they are spending blockade time. During their interaction, two senior cricketers talked about young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant.

Shami praised Pant’s talent by saying that it just confidence that he needs. He revealed that the day Pant gets his courage, he will be very dangerous. “Rishabh’s talent is amazing, and it is not like he is my friend, that is why I am saying. It is just about confidence, the day he will get that confidence, he will be very dangerous,” Shami said during the session.

Rishabh Pant’s position on the Indian side has been a matter of debate for some time. The left-handed batsman from the World Cup is in and out of the playing XI. His inconsistency with the bat often questioned.

While many experts have defended him by saying everyone is putting pressure on the young player, many have argued that he does not take his game seriously. A few days ago, India’s vice-captain Rohit Sharma and former cricketer Yuvraj Singh also defended Pant, saying the media and everyone around him putting too much pressure on him.

Returning to Shami’s conversation with Pathan, the two discussed KL Rahul, who was appointed White-ball keeper in the Indian team.

“I think his current form is the best form of his career. He’s playing well wherever he goes. I hope his career continues,” Shami said.
