At this time, Starc has no IPL contract. He was acquired before IPL 2018 by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Moreover, for the past two seasons, injuries kept him away from the League.
KKR released him before the auction this year. In return, he benefitted his team-mate Pat Cummins, who was acquired for a record of 15.5 INR crores by the franchise.
