    Mitchell Aaron Starc, famously known as Mitchell Starc was born in Baulkham Hills, New South Wales, Australia on 30 January 1990. Mitchell Starc is an Australian left-arm fast bowler who plays all three formats of cricket for the national side and has been a consistent member for many years. Mitchell Starc is considered one of the best fast bowlers in the world in modern-day cricket. Mitchell Starc was the Player of the Tournament in the ICC World Cup 2015 and helped his team in winning the title. He holds the record for fastest delivery in Test cricket. The start is also an aggressive batter in the lower order and provides a deep batting option in the lineup.

    Mitchell Starc started off paying cricket at an early age of 6 years. He visited Homebush Boys High School and at the age of just 9 years, Starc started playing for Northern Districts as a wicket keeper batter. He played many matches for his school team as a wicket keeper. Few years later, he left the wicketkeeping and focused on his bowling skills.

    Mitchell Starc started off his domestic career back in 2009 while playing for New South Wales at the age of just 19 years. Due to the absence of some big names in the squad, Mitchell Starc was included in the team and made his debut.

    In Sheffield Shield tournament in 2009-10, Mitchell Starc picked 21 wickets in 8 matches including a five- wicket haul against Queensland. He also scored a half century in the tournament.

    In 2011, Mitchell Starc played for Sydney sixers in the Big Bash League. He took 13 wickets in 6 matches and helped his team in winning the tournament.

    Starc showed his class in the Australian domestic one-day tournament in 2019, he took 26 wickets in just 6 matches and helped his domestic team New South Wales in winning the tournament. He was also named as Player of the tournament for the remarkable performance.

    Mitchell Starc has played 120 first-class matches and taken 458 wickets with the best bowling figures of 8/73 in a match and 30 five-wicket hauls. He has also scored 2677 runs including 13 half centuries.

    In 2010, Australian team was touring India. With many senior fast bowlers of the team injured, Mitchell Starc was included in the squad of Australia.

    Mitchell Starc made his International Debut in an ODI match against India on 20th October 2010. However, his debut didn’t go down well for him as he failed to pick any wicket in the match.

    After almost a year in 2011, Mitchell Starc made his Test debut against New Zealand and picked 2 wickets in the match. Starc took 4 wickets in 2 tests against New Zealand.

    In a test series against India in 2012, Mitchell Starc made a record with the bat. Starc became the first batter to face 100 balls in both innings as a No. 10 batter in a batting unit.

    In a series against South Africa in 2013, Mitchell Starc picked his maiden 5 wicket haul and helped his team in winning the match.

    Mitchell Starc was selected in the Australian squad for the ICC World Cup in 2015. Mitchell Starc had a dream World Cup as he took 22 wickets in the

    tournament and won Player of the Tournament Award. He also led his team to another World Cup title.

    Mitchell Starc took 87 wickets in 2015, highest by any bowler in the world in that year.

    Mitchell Starc took his 100th Test wicket in 2016 and was also included in the ICC World Test XI in 2016. He also reached the landmark of 1000 runs in the same year.

    In 2018, Starc took his maiden 10-wicket haul in a Test match against Sri Lanka on their soil.

    Mitchell Starc was picked up in the ICC World Cup squad for Australia in 2019 and ended up as the leading wicket taker in the tournament. Mitchell Starc took 27 wickets including 3 five-wicket hauls. Starc made a record of maximum wickets in a World Cup edition.

    In 2020, Mitchell Starc took his 250th Test wicket and was also nominated for Player of the Decade award.

    In Ashes 2021-22, Mitchell Starc took 19 wickets in 5 matches and also scored 155 runs and helped his team in winning the series by 4-0.

    Mitchell Starc made his IPL debut in a match against Delhi Daredevils in season 2014 when he was roped in by Royal Challengers Bangalore.

    Mitchell Starc also had a spat with Kieron Pollard during a match against Mumbai Indians that caught many headlines.

    Starc played his last IPL match back in 2015 against Chennai Super Kings.

    He was roped in by Kolkata Knight Riders in 2018 but was later ruled out of the season due to an injury.
