Sunrisers Hyderabad are ready to start their IPL 2024 campaign under the leadership of the World Cup winning skipper, Pat Cummins.
The franchise bought Cummins services for 20.5 crores during the IPL 2024 mini auction, making him the second highest-paid player in IPL history.
SRH finished at the last spot in 2023 edition of Indian Premier League, and they will look to start afresh under their new captain Pat Cummins, while the ex-skipper Aiden Markram, is also part of the squad.

MI’s Top-order
The Indian duo of Mayank Agarwal and Rahul Tripathi are the important pillars of team SRH, while Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klassen, are the best overseas batters. Additionally, the inclusion of Travis Head, who struck a century in the World Cup 2023 finals, provides the team with a much-needed balance.
MI’s Strong bowling core
Bhuvneshwar will remain the premier pace bowler for the side, playing for them since 2014. Kumar has taken 170 wickets in IPL so far at an economy of 7.39. The return of T Natrajan, and the arrival of Pat Cummins, further balances the pace combination of the team.
Washington Sundar and Shabaz Ahmed will serve as the best spinners for the side in the league, while Sri Lanka’s T20 skipper, Wanindu Hasaranga, can also chip in as an impact player as per game’s demand.
Who will finish games for SRH?
The solid top-order and strong bowling unit are the strengths for team Sunrisers, the only concern for them is who is going to finish the games for them.
Washington Sundar and Shahbaz Ahmed will come in at number 6 and 7th spot, with both are decent with the bat, it will be a point of worry for the SRH side during the tense games.
The Cummins-led side will play their first match of IPL against the Kolkata Knights Riders on March 23 at 7:30 PM IST. The game will be played at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata
