SRH OVERSEAS PLAYERS?

Hyderabad have a total slot of 13 players slot of which 4 can be Overseas players and 9 Indian players

SRH PURSE REMAINING?

Sunrisers Hyderabad team 2023 purse: INR 42.25 crore. Slots remaining: 13 (four overseas)

SUNRISERS HYDERABAD WATCHLIST 2023

Hyderabad has the highest budget (about six times of Kolkata Knight Riders) and most slots to fill, but only four of them will be overseas. Given their tendency to back big overseas names as captains, they are likely to go broke for Ben Stokes. Given their budget, they will have substantial money even after that, and may invest in Cam Green or Rilee Rossouw after that.

They have too many pacers already, so they may give Sam Curran a pass. Instead, they may pick the quicker George Garton. And after investing in Umran Malik and Abdul Samad, they may pick their Jammu & Kashmir teammates like Basit Bashir, Shahrukh Dar, or Auqib Nabi.

For wicketkeeper may opt for two of Phil Salt, N Jagadeesan, Kusal Mendis, and Heinrich Klaasen. They may also pack their batting with Jason Roy. Will Jacks and Harry Brook, along with Mayank Agarwal. For spinners, they have the budget for Mohammad Nabi, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, or Adam Zampa, or Indian veterans like Amit Mishra, Piyush Chawla, and Shahbaz Nadeem.

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s new captain, batting and bowling coach details

After Kane Williamson’s exit from the squad, it’s still unclear who will lead the team as captain during the IPL 2023 season. Brian Lara has replaced Tom Moody as head coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad for the 2023 IPL season. Dale Steyn is playing the role of bowling coach, while Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan is appointed as the franchise’s spin-bowling and strategic coach.
