IPL 2023: Gujarat Titans conduct player trials at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad 

IPL 2023: The Gujarat Titans, the IPL 2022 champions, held player trials at Narendra Modi Stadium. In advance of the IPL player auction which will be held in Kochi on December 23.

IPL 2023 Auction:The player trials were conducted across two days on December 8 and 9. Which featured some promising cricketers from India’s domestic cricket circuit. Overall, 52 players appeared at the trials.

“Winning the Tata IPL at our home ground was a memorable feeling. We are now gearing up for the next season and really looking forward to it,” said head coach and former India left-arm pacer Ashish Nehra.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced for the mini auction for the IPL 2023. A total of 991 players, including 714 Indian and 277 foreign players have signed up to participate in the Auction. There are 185 players with caps on the list, 786 players without caps, and 20 players from Associate Nations.

“It is always great to come back to our home — the Narendra Modi Stadium. As we get ready for the Tata IPL Auction, the player trials have given us the perfect opportunity to have a look at some promising players.”

Rahmanullah Gurbaz, an Afghan wicketkeeper-batsman, and right-arm fast bowler. Also, Lockie Ferguson from New Zealand exchanged by Gujarat to Kolkata Knight Riders prior to the auction.

Hardik Pandya skipper for the first time and made their first IPL season unforgettable by winning the championship. Winning at their home venue in a seven-wicket victory over Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2022 final turned that special.

Gujarat crowned themselves winners in their first season of the league. By defeating Rajasthan for the third time in IPL 2022 after losing the toss. Gujarat had surpassed all expectations going into the tournament.

Pandya took the lead for Gujarat with an all-around performance. Recording 3/17 in his four bowling overs and scoring 34 runs off of 30 deliveries with the bat. Also, named as Player of the Match in the championship game.
