The speedster Umran Malik who left everyone stunned with his brilliant and consistent 150+ bowling has won the emerging player award of IPL 2022.
The award was determined by a panel of TV analysts and audience vote on iplt20.com.
Malik was retained by SRH ahead of IPL 2022 due to his incredible pace, and under the guidance of Dale Steyn, he simply demonstrated his class in front of everyone.
The young gun took 22 wickets at a strike rate of 13.40 this season. He has been costly in a few games, but he has shown that he can take wickets with the ball.
Tilak Varma impressed a lot despite Mumbai Indians’ struggles in the competition. The young batter batted in a variety of situations, demonstrating his ability. Tilak posted 397 runs at an average of 36.09 in the IPL 2022, thanks to a handful of half-centuries. On the list of IPL 2022’s emerging players, he was the second-best player.
Mukesh Chaudhary and Maheesh Theekshana, the bowling tandem of the Chennai Super Kings, have managed to draw attention to themselves. Chaudhary bagged 16 wickets in 13 matches, while Theekshana dismissed 12 batters in 9 matches with an economy rate of 7.45.
The emerging player was awarded with Rs 20 lakh.
Apart from claiming that great achievement, Umran Malik also got rewarded for his hard work as he received maiden India call-up for the upcoming South-Africa series.
The five match T-20 series will start from June 09, 2022.
Super Striker of the season:
Dinesh Karthik, who was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore in mega auction before the IPL 2022 has proved his mettle by scoring 330 runs in 16 innings at a superb average of 55.00.
He scored his runs with an electrifying strike rate of 183.33 and was awarded as the super striker of the season for his splendid game play during the death overs. Prize money of Rs 15 lakh was awarded to the Super-striker of IPL 2022.
