IPL 2022: Lucknow Super Giants vs Royal Challengers Bangalore 1st Innings 20 Overs Update

The contest between Royal Challenger Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants continues the thrill of IPL 2022. With Lucknow choosing to bowl first, RCB, after the completion of 1st innings of the 31st match, Bangalore’s total is 181 for 6. They have given a target of 182 for LSG to win.

During the death overs, captain Faf du Plessis and Dinesh Karthik utilized the opportunity, scoring 31 runs in last 3 overs. Besides last over, things looked in favour of RCB.

In the last five overs, Royals managed to score 51 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. The highest partnership of the innings was between Faf and Shahbaz Ahmed who contributed 70 runs to the innings.

Avesh Khan bowled the 17th over of the game and gave away 10 runs. No wickets came in this over.  A total of 14 runs came off the 18th over of the innings bowled by Ravi Bishnoi. 

The 19th over of the innings was bowled by Avesh who couldn’t keep things tight and conceded 13 runs.  The 20th over of the innings was the game changer that shifted momentum towards LSG bowled by Jason Holder. Just 4 runs and a wicket came off in this over with the wicket of du Plessis who missed his hundred by four runs.

The run rate at the end of 20 overs is 9.05. Faf du Plessis scored the highest number of 96 runs by hitting 2 sixes and 11 fours at a strike rate of 150.
