IPL 2020: KKR Vs SRH Match Prediction | Match 8 | SRH Vs KKR

ABOUT THE MATCH

The contest between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will be the 8th match of the IPL and it will be taken place on the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. It is scheduled to be started at 6:00 PM local time. Both SRH and KKR looked rusty and lost their opening match against RCB and MI respectively. Now both are looking to win the match to open their account in the IPL points table.

Match Preview:

Sunrisers Hyderabad:

  • Sunrisers Hyderabad must be disappointed as they couldn’t beat RCB in their opening game. In the 16th over, at securing 121 runs with the loss of 2 wickets, they inclined the match towards them, but the middle order collapsed by just 10 runs.
  • For SRH, Jonny Bairstow looks very terrific. In the 1st match, Manish Pandey is also looking good. The actual problem is the middle order with Vijay Shankar, Abhishek Sharma, and Priyam Garg.
  • A huge blow for the team is the absence of Mitchell Marsh for the remaining tournament because of serious injury. Jason Holder will replace him. In the next match, maybe Mohammad Nabi will play in place of Mitchell Marsh.

Probable Playing XI:

David Warner (C), Jonny Bairstow(wk), Manish Pandey, Priyam Garg, Vijay Shankar, Mohammad Nabi,  Abhishek Sharma, Rashid Khan, Bhuveneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, T Natarajan.

Kolkata Knight Riders:

  • Losing the 1st match in the 2020 IPL, KKR clearly knows that another defeat will peg them back in the league. They can’t afford to loos the 2nd match.
  • KKR’s problem in the 1st match is their batting. With Dinesh Karthik, Nitish Rana, and Eoin Morgan, they have good middle order and Andre Russell will act as a strong finisher, which strengthens their batting order.
  • With Shubman Gill and Narine, the batting order of KKR should be the same at the top, Nitish Rana, Karthik, and Eoin Morgan in the middle and Andre Russell as a match finisher. KKR might replace Pat Cummins by Lockie Ferguson.

Probable Playing XI:

Shubman Gill, Sunil Narine, Nitish Rana, Andre Russell, Eoin Morgan, Dinesh Karthik(c & wk), Pat Cummins, Nikhil Naik, Kuldeep Yadav, Shivam Mavi, Sandeep Warrier

Pitch Report:

At Abu Dhabi, the pitch is batting-friendly but as we witnessed the first two matches here, it has something in it for the bowlers also in the primary few overs.

 Weather condition:

At Abu Dhabi, the weather condition is expected to make players sweat as the temperature is hovering around 40 degrees Celsius.

Probable top performers:

Sunrisers Hyderabad:

Jonny Bairstow:

For SRH, Jonny Bairstow is the top asset. With his tremendous stroke, he can create a solid platform for the players to come next. From the SRH team, he is the leading run-getter and is expected to perform the same against the team of KKR also.

David Warner:

It has no doubt that David Warner is an impactful player. On his day, he can win the match single-handedly. In the 1st match, unfortunately, he was run-out but in the next match, a high score can be expected from him.

Manish Pandey:

In the current squad of SRH, Manish Pandey is the best batsman. In the 1st match, he was looking fit and good but couldn’t remain in the field. In the next game, if he can bat sensibly, definitely he can score a big total.

Kolkata Knight Riders:

Eoin Morgan:

In the ODI series against the team of Australia, Eoin Morgan was not in his best form but he is the player who can never count out, especially in the limited-overs format. In the next match, some fireworks from his bat can be expected.

Dinesh Karthik:

Over the years, Dinesh Karthik has been fantastic. He is the one who can provide stability to the batting order. He can play a sheet anchor role in the team like Andre Russell and Morgan. He was the best batsmen of KKR in the match against Mumbai Indians.

Andre Russell

Andre Russell is the X-factor of the KKR team. he is handy with the ball and destructive with the bat. On his day, he can alone destroy the opposition team. In the last over, he holds the key of the team.

Probable winning team:

This match is going to be a tough one. Neither side is looking perfect in all bases as per the previous matches. We can see the top-order of SRH takes benefits of the bowling of KKR but the same thing can be true for the KKR side also. KKR is looking more strong in batting depth with Andre Russell and Eoin Morgan. Also, it is the fact that KKR has played its last match at the same venue, which gives them a little benefit.
