MATCH PREVIEW:

DELHI CAPITALS:

1.Delhi Capitals suffered a defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last match, after winning their first two matches of the season.

2. They would expect one of Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan to fire to give their star-studded middle order an opportunity to up the ante. With the ball, Amit Mishra, Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje have been excellent for Delhi.

PROBABLE PLAYING XI:

Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer(c), Rishabh Pant(w), Shimron Hetmyer, Marcus Stoinis, Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin/Amit Mishra, Kagiso.

KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS:

1. The way Shubman Gill batted in the last match, scoring a brilliant 34-ball 47, he did justice to Kolkata’s move of dropping Chris Lynn and placing their bet on the youngster.

2. KKR, though, may have to do something with the experiment to open with Sunil Narine, which seems to have reached its sell-by date.

3. Up to now, Nitish Rana, Andre Russell and Dinesh Karthik have not had a major effect on the tournament and it would be fair to say that their bowlers have kept them ahead more often than not. Eoin Morgan has played a few decent hands, and will also be a critical cog for the team in the Delhi game.

4. With extra bowling options like Andre Russell and Varun Chakravarthy, Kolkata are looking like a well-rounded team.

PROBABLE PLAYING XI:

Shubman Gill, Sunil Narine, Nitish Rana, Dinesh Karthik (c & wk), Eoin Morgan, Andre Russell, Pat Cummins, Shivam Mavi, Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy, Kamlesh Nagarkoti.

PITCH REPORT:

It’s an absolute belter of a track at Sharjah Cricket Stadium that’s on offer here. An measure of the consistency of this track is the average first innings score of 220. On the cards, there is another high-scoring game.

WEATHER REPORT:

For this game as well, it will be traditional Sharjah weather. The temperature will be around 33-34 degrees Celsius although powerful winds will initially blow around as well.

PROBABLE TOP PERFORMERS:

DELHI CAPITALS:

1. Rishabh Pant

Pant scored 96 runs so far in the tournament. But his strike rate of 119 is quite surprising and he’d fancy playing more aggressive cricket.

2. Kagiso Rabada

Kagiso Rabada has been amongst the leading wicket-takers in the tournament and has picked up 7 wickets in just 3 games. His economy rate of 6.25 is fabulous.

3. Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas Iyer, who has scored 82 runs so far, has started well, but hasn’t been able to kick on and play the major knocks. In this match, the skipper would like to lead from the front.

KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS:

1. Shubman Gill

He has been the pick of the batsmen for KKR with 124 runs in three games at an average of 62. However, he would want to improve on his strike rate which is 116 now.

2. Shivam Mavi

With the ball, Shivam Mavi was excellent and accumulated 4 wickets in three games despite having an economical average below 7.

3. Eoin Morgan

Morgan has returned with scores of 42 not out and 34 not out in the last two games and has been in great touch in the last year or so. He will have an important role to play for KKR once again.

HEAD TO HEAD:

1. Total Played-23

2. KKR Won -13

3. DC Won -10

4. No Result-0

5. Tie-0
