IND vs AUS BGT series 2024: India and Australia will meet in a 5-Test series for the first time since the 1991-92 season. Australia is all set to host India for the upcoming 5 match test series for the 1st time since  1991-92 season. India should buckle up for the upcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy which is the much awaited test series which will start from 22nd November, 2024.

This series will also gain limelight as it will also affect the ranks of the on going WTC World Test Championship cycle 2023-25. Looking on that where India and Australia holding the top two spots respectively.

Perth will host the visitors in the open of the series form November 22 to 26 2024, the action will start from Perth then will be shifted to Adelaide and Brisbane. Adelaide will host the 2nd test which will commence from December 6 to 10th which will turn out to be a day night match.

Adding to this the excitement will also travel to Melbourne before that it will be hosted by Brisbane. Melbourne will may be the decider of the series as it is famous for the boxing day test. Altogether, Sydney will conclude the series keeping with the long standing traditions of the Australian Cricket Calendar.

SCHEDULE FOR IND vs AUS TEST SERIES (BGT)

  • 1st Test – 22nd to 26th Nov, Perth.
  • 2nd Test – 6th to 10th Dec, Adelaide (D/N).
  • 3rd Test – 14th to 18th Dec, Gabba.
  • 4th Test – 26th to 30th Dec, MCG.
  • 5th Test – 3rd to 7th Jan, Sydney.

Indian team has a great record over Australia in winning Border Gavaskar Trophy 4 times in a row.

In addition they also have won two of the test series in Australia and became the only Asian team to win the red ball series on Australian Soil. However, Pat Cummins led side defeated India in the WTC Championship in 2023 playing at London last year.
