Team India secured the ACC Womens Emerging Teams Asia Cup title after defeating the Bangladesh A women team by 31 runs at the Mission Road Ground, Mong Kok on Wednesday.
Opting to bat, India posted a modest 127 for seven before the bowlers rose to the occasion. Shrenyanka Patil grabbed 4, while Mannat Kashyap took 3 wickets to dismiss Bangladesh for 96.
Kanika Ahuja (2/23) was another off-break bowler who contributed two wickets.
Earlier, Dinesh Vrinda (36 off 29 balls) was India’s leading scorer, while Kanika Ahuja stayed unbeaten on 30 off 23 balls.

Indian players dominance in Mong Kok
The Indians dominated on a slow Mission Road Ground pitch, with off-spinner Patil and slow left-arm orthodox Kashyap dominating the roost.
Sobhana Mostary and Nahida Akter each hit 16 runs for Bangladesh, with Nahida Akter remaining stuck on 17 not out.
In a low-scoring game, the Indian bowlers prevented Bangladesh hitters from getting major runs. Shrenyanka Patil, who took a fifer in India’s lone game earlier in the competition, demonstrated her class once again by taking four wickets on the important final day to assist India A women’s team win the game.
Mannat Kashyap was as effective with the ball, taking three wickets for 20 runs in four overs, while Kanika Ahuja took two.
Their gripping bowling wiped out the Bangladesh side for just 96 runs, giving India A women a 31-run victory.
Kanika Ahuja played a significant role with the bat too for India, as she scored an unbeaten 30 off 23 balls to help her side reach 127-run mark.
Vrinda Dinesh (39 off 26) was the highest run-scorer for India in the match.
India just played one group stage match and advanced to the final based on that score, as rains washed out almost half of the tournament. The Indian girls, however, remained calm and composed in the final clash to add another trophy to the junior team’s cabinet. This is the set-up’s second honour, following an U19 World title.
