Pacers to watch out for T20 World Cup 2022

Many people think that T20 is a batter’s game, but the team who bowls well will win the game, and any team without a strong bowling lineup will find it difficult to prevail. let’s take a look at the Top 5 Pacers to watch out for T20 World Cup 2022 with their deadly bowling.

As the World Cup is approaching and all teams are ready to lock horns in the 8th edition of the T20 World Cup.

5. Haris Rauf

The pacer, who is receiving praises from all over the world due to his calm composure, but a completely opposite bowling.

Rauf scares the opposition with his 150+ KPH deliveries, and what he did during the night of Asia Cup 2022 final was seen by all. He was just outstanding that night and almost put the rivals in back foot with his bullet speed bowling.

While in the recently completed England series, he struck two important wickets in the second last over of the innings by giving just 5 runs and handed Pakistan a 3-run victory in the game. He later won the player of the match award for taking wickets just at the right time.

4. Mitchell Starc

One of the World’s premiere white-ball bowlers, Starc is widely known for his unplayable yorkers and speed, of course.

Australia is the defending champions and the World Cup is in Australia too, which further strengthen their chances of winning the mega event for the second time. And everybody knows what Starc can deliver at home.

The left-arm bowler bagged 9 wickets in 7 games he played in last’s year marquee event. While his overall stats provides a much better picture of how good he is. He played 53 games so far for Australia, in which he dismissed 69 players at an economy of 7.55

3. Mark Wood

The one of the fastest bowlers in modern-day cricket, Mark Wood holds the ability to turn even the loudest crowds in the stadium into a library by removing their favourite batter with his smashing ball.

Wood was out of action form White-ball cricket this year due to an injury he suffered during the series against West Indies in March, but he made a star like return to the field, as the quirky bowler bagged 9 wickets in 3 T20I games since return.

The form he is carrying, and the speed he is having on his side will be a lethal combo in a bouncy pitches in Australia, and every batter need to be aware of this English bowler.

He has picked 35 wickets in 22 games he played so far for England in T20Is

2. Trent Boult

The strong point of the New Zealander is that he has a truck-load of experience. The left-arm pacer is known for his in-swing delivers that haunts the batters during the powerplay overs.

His presence in the team is enough to scare the opposition. And that is what he has earned through his sheer dedication and rocket-swing bowling.

Although, Boult dominates in all-formats of cricket, but he is lethal in T20I and he is all set to rock in the mega event for sure.

In last year’s World Cup, he scalps 13 wickets in 7 matches, and was the highest wicket-taker among pacers. While his overall numbers of 66 wickets in 48 games, truly justify why we calling him a gem.

1. Shaheen Shah Afridi

The 22-year-old Pakistani pacer is one of the most menacing bowlers in the world.

He has grabbed 47 wickets so far in 40 T20I games he featured in for Pakistan. He haven’t played much cricket though in 2022. But, his reputation in T20 makes him one of the most dangerous bowlers in the shortest format of the game.

Returning from injury, Afridi is all set to lead the fast-bowling department for Pakistan. And can be the highest-wicket taker in the T20 World Cup 2022 too.
