Chris Gayle, the opening batsman for the West Indies, has been confirmed to participate in the forthcoming second season of Legends League Cricket by the event’s organisers. In the shortest format of the game, Gayle holds the records for the most runs (now 10,000+), most hundreds, quickest hundred, and most fours and sixes.
His highest first-class score, which he made against Sri Lanka at Galle, made him only the fourth batsman after Don Bradman, Brian Lara, and Virender Sehwag to have two Test triples in their careers. The left-handed batter has amassed 15 Test hundreds and more than 7,000 runs across 103 matches, and he frequently wears the number 333 for many T20 franchises.

The competition will be held in six Indian cities, as was previously announced. The tournament is scheduled to take place from September 17 to October 8, 2022, with matches being held in Kolkata, Lucknow, Delhi, Jodhpur, Cuttack, and Rajkot.
