During Toss Both Captains Said:
Dhawan: It was a great job from the bowlers to restrict them to 260. The spinners were excellent bowling in tandem. My batting is all about the situation. I just looked to rotate strike because the others were batting superbly. We’re playing the same side.
Shanaka: We’ll bat first. The wicket looks better than the last game and batting first would be ideal. We started well, we finished well, and those are positives for us. But we need to consolidate better in the middle overs. One change – Kasun Rajitha comes in for Udana.
Sri Lanka has won the toss and have opted to bat:
Team India has won the 1st ODI game against Sri Lanka comfortably. After the huge defeat, Sri Lanka was expected to bring in more changes in their playing 11 but surprisingly they have made only one change, They have brought Kasun Ranjitha in place of Isuru Udana.
Udana was expected to make a flying start in 1st ODI but failed to do it. Team India is in prime form and every individual player looks sharp and can see their hunger to perform for their nation.
