Who Replaced Simon Katich In SunRisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has stated officially that assistant coach Simon Katich has been departed from the team. The SRH franchise reported that Katich was uncertain due to bio-security concerns and family responsibilities. In this article, we have mentioned Who is the SRH Assistant Coach.

Simon Helmot has been appointed by SRH to replace Katich. Helmot, 50, was a member of the Sunrisers’ coaching panel from 2012 – 2019. He recently appeared as head coach for the Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

Simon Katich, whose been named as Hyderabad team’s assistant coach less than 2 months ago amid a dramatic reshuffle of the support personnel, has formerly worked with 2 other IPL teams, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Owing to family obligations, he had to leave RCB before the IPL’s 2021 UAE edition.

Earlier, SRH also split-ways with Trevor Bayliss & Brad Haddin

Moody as well as other officials of the support panel, notably Brian Lara, Muttiah Muralitharan, & Hemang Badani, were also represented during the recently concluded IPL 2022 mega auction process in Bengaluru. The franchise officials were regularly observed discussing on the phone call during the auction process, and it was eventually revealed that the voice on the receiving end was Kane Williamson, who would lead the Hyderabad team.

SRH, which concluded with dismal outings in the IPL 2021 following 5 years to make the Playoffs, has indeed been troubled by management uncertainty. The year before, David Warner had a big and unpleasant dispute with the SRH franchise, which resulted in his dismissal from the league’s midseason. At the end of the season, the team also decided to split ways with coach Trevor Bayliss and assistant coach Brad Haddin.
