Team India and West Indies are all set to play the three-match T20I series. India will host West Indies for T20Is and as many ODIs this month. The T20I series is scheduled to commence from December 6 in Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi international cricket stadium. Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram will host the next two T20Is which are going to take place on December 8 and 11, respectively, before the ODIs begin.
But even before going into the field, Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard have started taking shots at each other. The Mumbai Indians star players have declared that there will be no love between the two IPL (Indian Premier League) teammates when they take the field for their respective national teams. But before assuming something else, let us tell you it is all part of a campaign.
Star Sports, who are the official broadcasters for the T20I series, have come up with a promotion series to increase the excitement of cricket fans. The series of advertisements named #FrenemiesAtPlay” started with Rohit Sharma ditching Kieron Pollard and driving away. It was then followed by some interesting action on Twitter as Kieron Pollard unfollowed Rohit Sharma before the latter reacted by posting a series of angry emojis.
Rohit Sharma Has The Last Laugh
In the television campaign’s latest chapter #FrenemiesAtPlay, hitman Rohit Sharma takes revenge on Pollard. In the previous video, Pollard made Rohit Sharma’s sleep a nightmare by pestering the India opener with telephone calls early in the morning. But Rohit Sharma had the last laugh in the exchange as he came up with a brilliant idea.
In the video, we can see Rohit Sharma quietly slipping into Pollard’s room and executing his plan to irk his Mumbai Indian teammate. Unaware of what happened in his room, Pollard goes to his bed only to realize that he was pranked. Pollard’s bed had squeeze duck toys all over to annoy him. The all-rounder himself took to Twitter to share the video while writing:
