Pakistani pace sensation Shaheen Afridi is set to tie the wedding bells with former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi’s eldest daughter. The whispers about their engagement are getting stronger by the day. Aqsa, the eldest daughter of Shahid Afridi is the bride in news here.While none of the concerned parties have officially declared anything as yet. But quite a few sources have confirmed the development.
Wedding Bells have started ringing for Shahid Afridi’s daughter:
As per reports, Shaheen’s father Ayaz Khan has confirmed that he had sent the proposal to Afridi’s family for his son. The Afridi clan have accepted the proposal. Shaheen Afridi’s family has stated that Shaheen is currently playing cricket. While Aqsa is still studying, and hence the engagement has not yet been formally announced. The families have agreed to host an engagement shortly before the wedding in two years.
Pakistani journalist, Ihtisham ul Haq confirmed this development on Twitter. Ihtisham clarified the engagement rumours. He admitted that he had permission from both families to confirm the same. He affirmed that Afridi’s family have accepted the proposal. But they are waiting for Aqsa to complete her studies to take the next step.

He tweeted saying, “With permission from both families, I would like to clarify the engagement rumours between Shaheen Afridi and the daughter of Shahid Afridi. The proposal has been accepted; it is thought that a formal engagement will be done within 2 yrs, following the completion of her education.”
He went on to add, “The reason behind this tweet is to clarify the suspicion caused by social media. Respect to both families; please do await their own official announcements as they are currently in talks. I would like to request all individuals to respect their privacy during this auspicious time.”

Meanwhile, both Shaheen and Afridi recently were a part of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The rise of Covid-19 cases has pushed the tournament to a later date. Shaheen Afridi was playing for Lahore Qalandars. While veteran Shahid Afridi represented Multan Sultans. The youngster was having a good outing having picked up 9 wickets in 4 games before the tournament came to a halt.
