Hurricanes registered their second win against Renegades. They successfully chased the target of 148 with loss of 3 wickets in 19.1 overs. Renegades were all out for 147 runs in 19.1 overs.

First Innings:

Melbourne Renegades won the toss and decided to bat first.

Renegade looked good as their captain Finch and Shaun Marsh played well. Even their opener Sam Harper got out for a duck. After the fall of Finch, no player in the Melbourne team batted well.

All top bowlers of Hobart Hurricanes bowled well.

Nathan Ellis, Riley Meredith, and James Faulkner picked 3 wickets each and bowled out Melbourne for just 147 runs. Nathan’s had a good spell of 3-0-15-3.

Second Innings:

Hobart Hurricanes opener Milenko and Caleb Jewell got out for ducks in consecutive balls when they were bowled by Tom Cooper. Then Captain Ben McDermott 51*(48) and D Arcy Short 60(45) put up a strong partnership and led the team with a good run-rate. David Miller scored 25*(15), which included 2 powerful sixes, to finish the match.

Tom Cooper and Cameron Boyce bowled well but could not stop Hurricanes from winning. Harry Gurney was leaking runs on the other side of the bowling attack.

It was another miserable day for the Melbourne team as they lost another game and continued their hat-trick of losses and moved to the last position in the points table. So, there are very few chances for Melbourne to get a spot in the top 4 positions in the points table.

Man of the Match :

Riley Meredith got the MOM award for his quality bowling spell of 4-0-26-3 at an economy rate of 6.5.

Finally, Hobart Hurricanes won the game and packed to celebrate Christmas with their team members.
