5 Indian Cricketers Who Are Participating In Pink Ball Practice Session.

Team India has won the decider match against Bangladesh in the three-match T20 International series which has been scheduled in Nagpur on Sunday under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. Now they are getting ready to play two-match Test series with the last match to be played under the lights. It will be the first time that players of both the side will feature in a Day-Night game in the longer format.

the already announced five Indian cricketers of test squad are ready to practice with the pink ball which is going to be used in the day-night match. They are planning to arrange a 2-day practice session at the national cricket academy(NCA) in Bangalore.

The former Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid has taken the decision to practice with pink balls by consulting the management of the Indian team.

2) Cheteshwar Pujara

3) Mayank Agarwal

4) Mohammad Shami

5) Ravindra Jadeja

these are the 5 Indian players announced in test squad who are going to practice with the pink ball. According to the sources the session will take place on the center wicket and the former Indian skipper, Rahul Dravid will also take part in it. Also, the state cricket association of Karnataka will provide bowlers for the net session.

A source from the BCCI said “The practice will be on the center wicket where practice will be done in the form of match stimulation. Dravid, too, will be part of it. The Karnataka State Cricket Association will provide bowlers and fielders for the session. We wanted to have a couple of days under night but due to unavoidable circumstances it was decided to have only one day,”

The Indian cricket board was in a dilemma about which ball to bring into play. Till now Kookaburra and Dukes balls have been used in 11 day-night Test matches, But, BCCI has decided to go ahead with SG balls.

in Sourav Ganguly’s opinion “No, it (Kookaburra) can’t be used, because the series has to be played with the same ball. It can’t be two different balls in the same series.” BCCI president said.

The Day-Night Test is scheduled to take place on 22nd November at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
