England Players Join West Indies In Wearing ‘Black Lives Matter’ Logo

English players will join the West Indies squad in sporting the ‘Black Lives Matter’ logo:

English players will join with the team of West Indies in sporting the ‘Black Lives Matter’ logo on collars of their T-Shirts at the time of the upcoming Test series of “Raise the bat” to protest against racism in sports.

The decision of wearing the logo shirt is taken by the ECB, which supported fully by the cricketers of England. The Test team is led by Joe Root and stand-in skipper for the first Test, Ben Stokes also join the campaign.

An ECB release said it is a sign of solidarity and our team will definitely join the West Indies team and wear the same logo on their shirts while playing.

Joe Root Statement:

“It is very much necessary to show solidarity to the black people and to lift up much-required awareness around the subject of justice and equality. The England management and the players are united in this campaign and will utilize the international cricket platform to support the reason for eliminating racial discrimination wherever exists.”

He added “ The maximum people of us don’t understand that fact that what peoples from BAME (Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic) backgrounds need to go through when any person judge them due to their skin color. As a group, we should know this and also educate ourselves.”

“There should be similar chances and similar rights for all. We all hope that by taking this stance we are able to play our part in standing with them as a team and we also hope that by continuing this procedure of raising awareness we can move towards a better society in which your background and your skin color have no obstructions on your opportunities”.

“It is very much clear and simple, according to me there is no room for racism or any kind of discrimination”
