David Andrew Miller was born on 10 June 1989 in Pietermaritzburg, Natal Province, South Africa. He is a South African left-hand batter. Miller has been a consistent part of the South African limited-overs setup for almost 6 years. David has stood as a pillar for his national side in the middle overs format for a long time now. After performing well for the club, David Miller was called up to play for his domestic side Dolphins. In Super Sports Series 2007 finals, David Miller made his debut. He scored his maiden first-class half century on his debut.

Miller played in 8 matches in 2007 for Dolphins but it didn’t go down well for him. He only scored 109 runs in those matches and his team finished at the 5th place in the season.

In 2009, David Miller was included in the South Africa A squad to play a series against Bangladesh A. He emerged as the second-highest run scorer in the series. His consistent performances in the domestic circuit helped him in getting a call out for the national side.

In May 2010, David Miller got picked up in a T20I series against West Indies. David Miller made his international debut on 20 May in a T20I match against West Indies.
