Dane van Niekerk has praised Virat Kohli: Virat Kohli was anticipated to provide a huge score in the important match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Wednesday (May 4), but the right-handed batter fell short. Kohli, who hit some beautiful strokes during his time in the middle, was bowled by Moeen Ali’s spin. As Kohli’s poor form persisted, Dane van Niekerk, the captain of South Africa’s women’s team, sent him a sympathetic tweet.

Dane Van Niekerk, a former captain of the South African women’s cricket team, has spoken out in favor of India’s troubled former skipper Virat Kohli. On Wednesday, van Niekerk, South Africa’s chosen women’s cricket captain, sent a passionate statement on Twitter, urging people not to dismiss Kohli’s excellent body of work over the last decade because of his current bad form.

“Stop seeking ways to criticize what Virat Kohli has accomplished for cricket!! On top of that, he went above and above and made it appear simple.. a legend will always be a legend.. embrace it! Over a decade of steady results does not define a tournament or a season!” van Niekerk expressed himself on Twitter.

Kohli scored 30 runs off 33 deliveries as RCB was unable to get off to a good start against CSK in the IPL 2022. The innings, though, were built on a solid foundation by Kohli and skipper Faf du Plessis (38), who put up a 62-run partnership for the first wicket. Late pyrotechnics from Mahipal Lomror and Dinesh Karthik helped the squad to a respectable total of 173 runs.

Kohli’s lack of big runs in international cricket, where he hasn’t scored a century since November 2019, has translated to the IPL, where he has struggled for runs and has two golden ducks in 11 innings. Since the sport’s revival in 2020, he’s scored runs in spurts.

Virat Kohli has scores of 41*, 12, 5, 48, 1, 12, 0, 0, 9, 58, and 30 in the present IPL season. During his half-century against Gujarat Titans, he batted with a strike rate of 109.43. Kohli is itching for a huge hit and wants to end the century-long drought.
