Former Indian batter Wasim Jaffer has expressed his thoughts on the recent performance of South African cricket team and said that they are hot contenders for the upcoming T20 World Cup after they have registered 2-1 win against England in the recently concluded three-match T20 series.
The visitors claimed the victory in the recent T20I series over England by the score of 2-1. It was a fantabulous series for the Proteas as England after taking the in the first game lost the series due to South Africa plotted an excellent comeback and secured the remaining of the two matches.
After the win against England by South Africa, former Indian batter Wasim Jaffer had strong thoughts after the series.

It was a series to remember for the South Africa cricket team as after levelling the ODI series by 1-1. They went on to win the T20 series by 2-1.
Although, the visitors after losing the first game by 41 runs, bounced back strongly and won the next two games to win the series.
South Africa’s opening batter Reeza Hendricks scored the most runs in the series, with 180 in 3 matches, including a smashing 70 off 50 balls in the final game on Sunday at the Rose Bowl in Southampton.
His brilliance with the bat helped him to win the player of the series award.
The stand-in captain David Miller in the absence of Temba Bavuma did a fantastic job by handling the team work against the mighty English side in England itself.
With South Africa performing well in recent times, the former Indian opening batter Wasim Jaffer feels they are a strong contenders for the T20 World Cup.
The ICC T20 World Cup is scheduled to take place in October-November this year.
