IPL 2022: Suryakumar Yadav Ruled Out Of Action For Four Weeks

Suryakumar Yadav Ruled Out Of IPL 2022: Suryakumar Yadav, a batsman for the Mumbai Indians, is expected to miss the coming four weeks of cricket despite suffering a forearm ailment during the IPL 2022. The 31-year-old is a crucial component in the Mumbai Indians’ batting lineup, but he will forgo the balance of the campaign after sustaining an injury to his left arm on May 6 while getting a run during a match versus Gujarat Titans.

Suryakumar arose on May 9 with an injured arm that prevented him from playing against the Kolkata Knight Riders. Suryakumar will probably miss a portion of the five-match T20I series versus South Africa, as per BCCI insiders. The right-handed batsman has been one of the top T20I players in India, and he would be greatly missed if he is not included in the South Africa series side.

Suryakumar Yadav Ruled Out Of IPL 2022: BCCI Medical Team Advised Him To Take Rest

In light of Suryakumar’s current medical situation, the Mumbai Indians just issued a statement confirming his season-ending absence. Since his injury was discovered, Suryakumar cannot attend the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru as a condition of his yearly contract with the BCCI.

Suryakumar Yadav has sustained a muscle strain on the left forearm and has been ruled out for the season. He has been advised to rest, in consultation with the BCCI medical team,” Mumbai Indians’ statement read.

Suryakumar Yadav’s absence from the Mumbai Indians’ IPL 2022 playoff contention means that the team will be testing its bench strength. This season, the Mumbai hitter batted in the middle of the order and contributed 303 runs in 8 matches. In order for him to be a frontrunner for the Indian team in the T20 World Cup in 2022, he will need to play several matches before the tournament.

“With all your wishes and support, I will be back in no time. To my Mumbai Indians family, I will be cheering for you from the other side, this time. Let’s finish the tournament on a high note and display our true character on the field,” Suryakumar wrote in the tweet earlier.
