According to a recent development, the BCCI confirmed that the (Indian Premier League) TATA IPL playoffs and final will be staged in Kolkata and Ahmedabad from May 24 to 29. The proposal was taken during the board’s Apex Council meeting last month, now BCCI secretary Jay Shah acknowledged the same.
Schedule And Venue For TATA IPL Playoffs
On May 24 and 25, Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator match will be held in Eden Gardens in Kolkata, with Qualifier 2 and the final taking place at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 27 and 29, accordingly. The game’s league phase will close on May 22, following which the qualifying teams will embark on a bio-secure bubble to Kolkata as well as Ahmedabad. Previously, India’s home series versus the West Indies was held at the two venues.
“The TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) Playoffs and Final will be played from 24th May to 29th May 2022 in Kolkata and Ahmedabad. Qualifier 1 will be held in Eden Gardens, Kolkata on 24th May followed by the Eliminator on 25th May. The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host Qualifier 2 and the TATA IPL final on 27th and 29th May respectively”, the statement read.

“I am pleased to announce that the Playoff Stage of the IPL 2022 will be held in Ahmedabad and Kolkata. The mega final will be held at Narendra Modi Stadium on May 29 along with Qualifier 2 on May 27. The Qualifier 1 and Eliminator will be played at the Eden Gardens on May 24 and May 25 respectively,” said Jay Shah.
Furthermore, the itinerary for the Women’s T20 Challenge, a three-team four-match tournament to be held at Pune’s MCA Stadium, has been released. The tournament between the Trailblazers, Supernovas, and Velocity will include games on May 23, 24, 26, and 28, with a day match on May 24.
“The Women’s T20 Challenge resumes this year and Pune will host the fourth edition of the tournament. The dates of matches will be on May 23, May 24, May 26, and Final on May 28,” Shah added.
