Sourav Ganguly Sends Wishes to Newly Appointed President Roger Binny

Roger Binny is the new president of BCCI. He is the 36th president of the apex board. He replaces Sourav Ganguly from the post.

The former India captain adds that the BCCI’s new officers will further the development of Indian cricket. “I send Roger (Binny) my warmest wishes. This will be carried out by the new group. The BCCI is in good hands. I wish them well because Indian cricket is powerful,” stated Ganguly. Sourav relieves of his duties after a BCCI meeting on October 11 at the Trident.

What Ganguly Said:

The former cricketer already shared his opinions about his time serving as BCCI President. “I was the president of the Cricket Association of Bengal for five years. I have been president of BCCI for years. After all these terms, you have to leave and go.

As an administrator, you have to contribute a lot and make things better for the team. Me being a player, who was around for a long time, understood it. I enjoyed my time as an administrator thoroughly. You cannot play forever and you cannot remain in administration forever,” said Ganguly at an event earlier.

Ganguly expects to run for president of the Bengal Cricket Association (CAB). The former India captain had an offer of becoming the IPL Chairman, but he declined. Before joining the BCCI, the former India captain served as president from 2015 to 2019.

New Role for Binny

Roger Binny stated that he intends to concentrate mostly on the country’s avoidance of injuries to players and pitches. Sourav Ganguly was dismiss as the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India by former India fast bowler Roger Binny (BCCI).

The 36th head of the Indian cricket board will be the World Cup champion from 1983. Mumbai hosted the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) 91st Annual General Meeting. It should be in mind that Binny was the sole applicant who submit a nomination for the top position. “As president of the BCCI, I wish to pay particular attention to two points.

What’s Ahead?

There will be a subsequent announcement addressing the timeframe and timetable. Senior Men’s and Senior Women’s Future Tour Programs for 2022–2025 and 2023–2027, respectively, were also authorized by AGM on Tuesday.

During the AGM, however, the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) chairmanship was not in talks. The next ICC chairman will be chosen at the forthcoming board meeting in Melbourne. It’s unlikely that the BCCI will put out its own candidate for the position given the ICC chairman nomination deadline of October 20.
