Before the start of the ultra-exciting finale of IPL 2022, a star-studded closing ceremony will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on Sunday evening. Several Bollywood celebs, including the music maestro AR Rahman, and the soulful singer Neeti Mohan, are all set to give powerful performances that will make the evening memorable.
While, the evening will become more exciting when the Bollywood star Ranveer Singh performs at the grand event with folk dancers from different states.
Former Team India captains have also been invited and will be honoured at the ceremony. During the Closing Ceremony, around 1 lakh people are scheduled to attend. The IPL Closing Ceremony will be aired in augmented reality for the first time ever (AR). The event will feature almost 700 performers in all.
The IPL 2022 closing ceremony will start at 6:25 PM IST.
The grand event will also be graced by the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, who are expected to attend the final in Ahmedabad.
In the middle of the big evening, Neeti Mohan treated her fans by uploading a behind-the-scenes video of her rehearsals with none other than music legend AR Rahman. The final match of IPL 2022 will take place on May 29 at 8 p.m. at the newly constructed Narendra Modi Stadium.
However, the usual timing of this year’s IPL of the evening games were 7:30 PM, but BCCI opted to adjust the timing from 7:30 to 8 p.m. owing to cultural festivities, including Bollywood celebrity performances that will begin at 6:30 p.m. and last for 40 minutes. The toss will take place at 7:30 p.m.
