Who is better left-arm Spinner for India in T20 WC?
Left-arm spinners are an essential component of every T20 cricket team. Right-arm batters, especially those from SENA countries, struggle to smash against left-arm spinners and lose their wickets under duress.
An in-form left-armer can provide a team with an edge before the start of the clash only, and it is very crucial to choose the best spinner based on his recent performances, pitch conditions, and opponent.
With T20 World Cup is about to start in couple of months, Indian selectors are closely watching the ongoing IPL (Indian Premier League) and will announce the team during the end of April. There are three spinners in-line to represent India in T20 world Cup 2024.
Ravindra Jadeja
Ravindra Jadeja is the most experienced left-arm spinner in the current Indian set up with a 15-year of international cricket experience. Jadeja featured in 66 T20 matches for India till date and grabbed 53 wickets at an average of 28.41. He is economical too with 7.10.
However, Jadeja’s record in West Indies is not in his favour. He managed to take only 4 wickets in 7 games he has played so far, while his economy rose to 8.88. He struck 89 runs with the bat at an average of 29.66 and a strike rate of 109.87
With the World Cup to be played in West Indies and USA, it will be interesting to see whether the selectors will go with the experienced Jadeja or the other candidates.

Axar Patel
Patel is an excellent bowler and knows how to play important knocks with the bat, making him a tough competitor of Jadeja.
He has played 52 T20Is for India and has grabbed 49 wickets at 7.26. While he has taken 7 wickets in 7 games in West Indies.
Talking about his batting, he has managed to score 351 runs in 31 innings and carrying an average of around 17 in Indies.
Harpreet Brar
Harpreet Brar has yet to play an international game, but he is proving his mettle in Indian Premier League. Having dismissed batting greats Virat Kohli, Ab de Villiers and Glenn Maxwell in the toughest league in the world, Brar has showed that he is a big game player.
Brar also knows how to bat, but he has to be exceptional in both departments to overtake Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja.
