Happy Birthday Shoaib Malik: Malik was born on February 1st, 1982, in Sialkot, Punjab, Pakistan, into a middle-class family. Malik Faqueer Hussain, his father, was a poor shopkeeper who encouraged his son’s love of cricket and sold local shoes. He passed away in 2006 due to throat cancer.

On April 7, 2010, Malik divorced his first wife Ayesha Siddiqui. On April 12, 2010, Malik wed Indian tennis player Sania Mirza at the Taj Krishna Hotel in Hyderabad, India, following Pakistani wedding traditions.

Currently competing for Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League, Shoaib Malik is a Pakistani cricketer who competes for the Pakistan national cricket team (PSL). From 2007 through 2009, he served as the Pakistan team’s captain.

An All-rounder in the Sport of Cricket

Shoaib Malik has occupied nearly every position in a cricket team, to the point where, more than ten years into his career, no one is quite clear what his exact and ideal job is. Despite having begun his career as an off-break bowler, he is essentially an all-around batsman.

He has been a productive opener in Tests and ODIs, a game-changer in restricted overs, a threat as a lower-order slogger, and frequently a stodgy middle-order bulwark. He can be cruel everywhere in the Twenty20s.
