Cheteshwar Arvind Pujara, popularly known as Cheteshwar Pujara was born in Rajkot, Gujarat, India on 25 January 1988. Pujara is an Indian right-hand batter who is a crucial member of the Indian Test squad for almost a decade. Pujara is often known as Mr. Dependable and is wildly considered the complete Test cricketer of the modern era. Pujara was part of the Indian squad that reached the finals of the ICC World Test Championship. Since the retirement of Rahul Dravid, Cheteshwar Pujara along with Virat Kohli has been the backbone of the Indian middle order. Pujara was also the part of Chennai Super Kings team that won the IPL trophy in season 2021.

Pujara was first picked up in the Under-19 squad of India for the Test series against England in year 2005.
