“On This Day in 2008, Virat Kohli made his debut in international cricket. 13 years later, with 438 international matches & 22937 runs under his belt, the Team India captain remains one of the finest cricketers going around,” BCCI tweeted on its official page.

Virat Kohli already has established himself as one of the best batters in the game’s history throughout the course of his 13-year international career. Following Sachin Tendulkar, the master batsman has 43 ODI centuries and is 2nd on the list of batters with the most ODI hundreds.

Kohli is perhaps the quickest batter in ODI history to achieve 1000 runs, doing it in only 205 innings. In ODI cricket, he has a staggering 12169 runs at a remarkable aggregate of 59.07.
