BCCI Did Not Treat MS Dhoni “The Right Way”: Saqlain Mushtaq

Fans Of MS Dhoni Wanted Him To See Him Play More-Saqlain Mushtaq

Former Pakistani spinner Saqlain Mushtaq said that the Indian Cricket Control Board (BCCI) did not view ex-India captain MS Dhoni as “the best way” to retire without playing the country’s farewell game. Claiming that every cricketer dreams of leaving big, Saqlain said that MS Dhoni fans would have liked to see him take the Indian jersey field one last time. On August 15, MS Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket via an Instagram post. His last game for India was a semi-final victory of the World Cup against New Zealand in 2019.

“I think anyone who loves MS Dhoni is going to have one concern. If he wore India ‘s uniform, with gloves on and kept the bat, and took off his gloves and his cap with respect one last time, it would have been perfect,” Saqlain Mushtaq said on his YouTube channel.

“I generally don’t say something bad about my series, and if I feel like it, I try to stop myself, but my heart says I should say that,” he said. “It’s BCCI ‘s loss that they haven’t treated such a big player the right way,” he said. “This is not how he was meant to retire. I can confidently assume that the crores of his fans and cricket lovers will also agree that BCCI did not treat him correctly,” said the former spinner.

“I’m so sorry to say this to BCCI, but I’m hurt, too. It’s such a big player and he’s going to retire like that,” Saqlain said. “I think every cricketer has a vision of leaving big, and I’m sure MS Dhoni, too, would have had the same vision,” he said, before wishing the wicketkeeper-batsman well in his future efforts.

MS Dhoni you are a gem of a guy and a true hero, proud of you, “he said. In 350 ODIs, Dhoni scored 10,773 runs at an average of 50,57. He has a record of 10 centuries and 73 fifties. Dhoni scored 1,617 runs in 98 T20Is with an average score of 37.60, including two half-century runs. Next, Dhoni will be seen leading the Chennai Super Kings when the 13th season of the Indian Premier League ( IPL) takes place in the United Arab Emirates on September 19.
