Just before the meg event from next event, the two giants of world cricket Australia and England are all set to lock horns in a three-match T20Is series, starting October 9.

This series will be crucial for both sides, as in this series both the teams will rectify errors and balance their side before the marquee event.

The first match of the series to take place on October 9 at the Perth Stadium in Perth. While the second game will take place at Manuka Oval on Wednesday, and the final one will be played at the same venue on Friday.

Australia, the already favourites to win the cup will look to build up more confidence in the side by winning this side while trying to defend their title.

England, on the other hand, will also try to make the most out of this series as they are in Australia now, and World Cup too is in Australia only.

The visitors reached Australia after winning a 7-match T20I series against Pakistan by 4-3 at their home. Australia too just defeated West Indies by 2-0 in their recent T20I series at home.

This is one of the biggest series to be held in world cricket ahead of the eight edition of T20 World Cup, as both teams are favourite to win the trophy.

Australia, however, the defending champion, having won the cup last year in Dubai, will be the hot contender to secure the trophy as the marquee event is in Australia only.
