Asia Cup 2022: Hong Kong Register The Lowest Total in Asia Cup History

In the fifth match of Asia Cup 2022, Pakistan faced Hong Kong, where the Pakistani side managed to clean the Hong Kong batting line pretty easily and quickly. Hong Kong registered the lowest ever total in the Asia Cup history and the ninth lowest total in the T20 format.

Pakistan batting first posted a total of 193/2 in 20 overs, Rizwan, and Fakhar Zaman both scored half-centuries to boost the total for Pakistan. In reply, Hong Kong was completely punctured by Pakistan bowlers and wickets kept falling, they struggled and failed to chase down the target. Hong Kong scored just 38 runs in 10.4 overs marking one of the lowest scores in T20 History.

This was Pakistan’s biggest winning margin in the T20 format, Pakistan won the match by 155 runs qualifying into the Super 4, where Pakistan will face India on Sunday at Dubai International Stadium.

Hong Kong was just blown away by the bowling attack of Pakistan, Shadab Khan and Nawaz were crucial in dismissing the Hong Kong batsman as Shadab Khan picked up four wickets in 2.8 overs, and on the other hand, Nawaz picked up three wickets in 2 overs.

Hong Kong surprised everyone in the Asia Cup qualifies where they beat all the top teams including the host nation’s team UAE but in the main Asia Cup tournament, Hong Kong was unable to handle the fire as they lost two matches with India and Pakistan.
