2020 IPL: SRH VS CSK: CSK Set 168-Run Target For SRH

The 2nd half of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League has started with Sunrisers Hyderabad going up against Chennai Super Kings. After losing the last match against Rajasthan Royals, SRH will be keen to come back to winning ways. On the other hand, CSK is in great trouble, already lost 5 matches out of 7, and very much needed to turn the strategy to put themselves in the playoffs.

CSK made one change- replace N Jagadeesan with Piyush Chawla, whereas SRH also made one change- Abhishek Sharma is replaced by Shahbaz Nadeem.

Let’s get into the 1st innings:

CSK won the toss and opted to bat first. At the 1st delivery of 2nd over, CSK surprised by seeing the dismissal of Faf du Plessis by Sandeep Sharma. Faf du Plessis faced the first ball in the match and Jonny Bairstow caught the catch behind the stumps.

In the 4th over, Sam Curran was clean up by SRH pacer Sandeep Sharma after a short cameo. Khaleel Ahmed has got the massive wicket of Ambati Rayudu (41), who holed out to David Warner at 15th over.  After 15 overs, CSK – 119/3.

In the very next over, Shane Watson tried very hard to hit the ball towards the extra cover for a maximum but unluckily caught by Manish Pandey at deep extra covers and T Natarajan got the big wicket.

In the last delivery of 18th over, delivered by Natarajan,  MS Dhoni hits the ball direct to Kane Williamson, trying to went covers on a full toss, but mistimed it. Over 19- CSK 152/5.

Outstanding work from SRH in the final over. Khaleel Ahmed had dismissed Dwayne Bravo in the 1st ball of the 19th over. Deepak Chahar (2) and Ravindra Jadeja  (25) took the score of CSK to 167/6.

SRH needs 168 runs to win the 29th match of the season.
